President of AIM DANCE INC.

Heather (aka Sherena) started her dance career at the age of 3!

Bellydance, ballet, and Polynesian were the first classes she trained in and that was only the beginning!

Continuing her training with the Canton Ballet Company of Canton Ohio helped to lay the solid dance foundation, along with her studies in several ethnic dance styles, would later become the backbone of what Art in Motion stands for, educating dancers in several forms of dance, resulting in well rounded performers.

Heather (Sherena) is a well known bellydance workshop instructor and performer. Her bellydance competition experience and her experience in the first season of Project Belly Dance helped her to share that experience with students that she coaches throughout the U.S. Many of her students hold titles and placed in the top 5 at several well known bellydance festivals and competitions in Ohio, Pittsburgh, Washington DC and Texas. Abrams was also the first dance studio to feature youth bellydance at the annual All Ohio Dance Festival in Cleveland.

Stretching her choreography creativity into ballet, jazz, and the world of other dances such as Flamenco and Bellydance fusion – Abrams has had several first place recognitions and choreography awards for her work on “Diamonds” (musical theater), “Bradenburgh Beat” (pointe), “Meet the Flinstones” (jazz), and most recently “The Pharaoh’s Treasure” (Bellydance Lyrical Fusion). Abrams (Sherena) is also the Founder of The HipCurve Certification Program that is being taught in several locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Abrams is featured on three instructional DVDs:
